Steve Barajas, 38

 Steve “El Toro” Barajas, 38, left this life and started his most grand adventure on April 10, 2023. Steve was born January 7, 1985 to Florentino and Elvira in Fort Worth, Texas. Being the only boy in a house of sisters he learned to be tough from an early age. Rosalinda being the oldest and Dahlia and Paola being his “nerds.” Darkness tried to take him, but Steve fought through showing the world that diamonds are made through crushing. Steve met a friend everywhere he went and always made sure to find ways to encourage them through words, through laughter, through music. He showed everyone he knew how to persevere and strive to be better and never let the hard times take you down. Steve met Melissa, his “Boo Bear,” best friend, and love of his life in 2015. They were married September 12, 2020. We always knew when Steve was around, if we didn’t hear his laugh we would definitely hear his music. He was never afraid to share his emotions. He truly wore his heart on his sleeve. Many called him a big teddy bear. Spending time with family, whether by blood or by choice, was so important to him and he never missed an opportunity to get together with those he loved. Steve will forever be missed in our lives, however his legacy and love will always be in our hearts.

   Steve was preceded in death by his grandfather Luis Rivas and Aunt Elba Rivas.

   Those left to honor and celebrate his memory are his loving wife Melissa Barajas; his parents Florentino and Elvira Barajas; his sisters Rosalinda, Dahlia, and Paola Barajas; his nephew Kristopher “Chubby” Sysavath; his grandparents Silvino Barajas, Josefina Servin, and Elidia Martinez; along with numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

   Steve "El Toro" Barajas, de 38 años, dejó esta vida y comenzó su gran aventura el 10 de abril de 2023. Steve nació el 7 de enero de 1985, hijo de Florentino y Elvira en Fort Worth, Texas. Siendo el único niño en una casa de hermanas, aprendió a ser duro desde una edad temprana. Rosalinda es la mayor y Dahlia y Paola son sus "nerds". La oscuridad trató de llevárselo, pero Steve luchó mostrando al mundo que los diamantes se hacen a través de la trituración. Steve conoció a un amigo en todos los lugares a los que iba y siempre se aseguró de encontrar formas de animarlos a través de las palabras, a través de la risa, a través de la música. Mostró a todos que sabía cómo perseverar y esforzarse por ser mejor y nunca dejar que los momentos difíciles te derriben. Steve conoció a Melissa, su "Boo Bear", su mejor amiga y el amor de su vida en 2015. Se casaron el 12 de septiembre de 2020. Siempre supimos que cuando Steve estaba cerca, si no oímos su risa, definitivamente escucharíamos su música. Nunca tuvo miedo de compartir sus emociones. Realmente llevaba su corazón en la manga. Muchos lo llamaban un gran oso de peluche. Pasar tiempo con la familia, ya sea de sangre o por elección, era muy importante para él y nunca perdió la oportunidad de reunirse con sus seres queridos. Steve será echado de menos para siempre en nuestras vidas, sin embargo, su legado y amor siempre estarán en nuestros corazones.

   Steve fue precedido en la muerte por su abuelo Luis Rivas y su tía Elba Rivas.

   Los que quedan para honrar y celebrar su memoria son su amada esposa Melissa Barajas; sus padres Florentino y Elvira Barajas; sus hermanas Rosalinda, Dahlia y Paola Barajas; sus sobrino Kristopher “Chubby” Sysavath; sus abuelos Silvino Barajas, Josefina Servin y Elidia Martínez; junto con numerosos miembros de la familia extendida y una gran cantidad de amigos.
