Rose Anna Mendez Hetling, age 52, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 15, 1973, to Luis and Angelita Mendez, Rose was a lifelong resident of the westside of Fort Worth, where she graduated from Arlington Heights High School.
In 1993, Rose became a proud mother to her firstborn son, Chaz Andrew Ferrell. In 1998, she met the love of her life, Steve Hetling, and together they built a family, welcoming four more boys into their lives: Hunter, Tanner, Cooper, and Kinsler Hetling. Above all else, Rose was a devoted mother. Her love for her children knew no bounds, and she dedicated herself to their well-being, always ensuring they felt supported, loved, and cherished.
Rose will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering loyalty. She was a beacon of love and strength, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Angelita Mendez, as well as her beloved grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Steve Hetling; and their sons and daughter in law Chaz Ferrell, wife Peyton Ferrell, Hunter, Tanner, Cooper, and Kinsler Hetling; Father in law Dale Hetling; brother Louis Mendez, his wife Corey and daughters Gabriella and Presley Mendez; as well as numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
