Fort Worth~ Maria Soto Gonzalez (Ortiz) ,85, a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister, went to be with our Lord Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Fort Worth.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Hawkins Family Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends Monday, January 28, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Family Funeral Home-Fort Worth.

Maria was born on January 3, 1934 to Narisco & Ricarda (Baiza) Soto in Ranger, TX

Maria was a loved by all who knew her, she loved her family with sincere passion and was proud of them all.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Gustavo Ortiz, sons: Gus Ortiz , two infant sons, Jessie Ortiz, and brothers: Raul, Luie, Joe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children daughter’s Geneva Pena of New York; Josie Oriz & husband Ramon of Saginaw; Gloria Lopez & husband Humberto Rodriguez of Fort Worth; Teresa of Lubbock; Irma Brennan & husband Mike of Grapevine; Elena "Helen" Ortiz & husband Richard Campbell of River Oaks; Linda Blacker of Fort Worth; Corina Flores & husband Raul Balderas of Chicago, Illinois and son Joe Ortiz.

Grandchildren: Carlos, Ruben, Amanda, Michael, Steve, Wally, Gloria, Janie, Elizabeth, John, Jessica, Crystal, Cody, Christine, Joanna, Victor, Vanessa, Melissa, Andrew, Raul Jr, Lydia, Fernando, Alex, Monica, Ryan, Rachel.

Sisters: Elvira Granodo of Fort Worth; Caroline Bandy of Euless; Lenora Martinez of Syracuse, Indiana; Juanita Ortiz of Knock City.

Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, extended family and host of friends.

Family will be having a luncheon following the service at 2040 Willis Lane, Keller, Tx 76248.
