Maria Asuncion Ibarra, 71

Nietos: Joseph, Jacob, Loren, Katherine, Rickie, Emily, Marc, Jason, Zoi, Evie, Cami, Miguel, Juliana, Benjamín y Carmen. Bisnietos: Erin Espinoza y su bebé peludo Slim. Sus hermanos: Luis Ibarra, Francisco Ibarra, Otilia 'Tila' Salas, Juan Ibarra, Carmen Vitela, Judith Martínez, Gabino Ibarra, Paty Vitela, Víctor Ibarra y muchos familiares y amigos.

Maria Asuncion Ibarra, 71, of Fort Worth a wife, a mother, a nana, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend to many went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Fort Worth, TX.  She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Julian and Bernabe Ibarra.  She was married to the love of her life the late Miguel Ibarra for 50 years, together they had 6 daughters and 15 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.  She was more than happy to help raise and be the central figure in the lives of her grandchildren.  Anyone who knows them knows that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her.  Her love was like no other.

After 8 years of battling cancer, she left this earth to join the love of her life in heaven. It would be wrong to say she lost her battle because she never stopped fighting.  She fought until her last breath. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.  Just because she is no longer here, doesn’t mean she lost her fight, in our eyes she won!  Through her battle, she taught us so much about life and she will forever be remembered for her strength, bravery, and courage.  We will never know anyone else like her and we will miss her every day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Candida Ibarra.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Dalila Vedia and husband Joe of Fort Worth; Noemi Vela and husband Richard of Fort Worth; Beatriz Alvarez and husband Robert of Fort Worth; Jennifer Ibarra and husband Eric von Rothkirch of Fort Worth; Diana Alvarez and husband Albert of Fort Worth; Samantha Ibarra and husband Ray Gonzalez Jr. of Fort Worth. Grandchildren: Joseph, Jacob, Loren, Katherine, Rickie, Emily, Marc, Jason, Zoi, Evie, Cami, Miguel, Juliana, Benjamin, and Carmen. Great Grandchildren: Erin Espinoza and her fur baby Slim. Her siblings: Luis Ibarra, Francisco Ibarra, Otilia ‘Tila’ Salas, Juan Ibarra, Carmen Vitela, Judith Martinez, Gabino Ibarra, Paty Vitela, Victor Ibarra, and many extended family members and friends.
