Jovita Villegas Gonzales, 79

Jovita Villegas Gonzales, 79 of Ft. Worth went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her home.

Jovita's Rosary will be Monday at 5:30 pm at Hawkins Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Jovita's Mass will be Monday at 6 pm at Hawkins Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Family will receive friends till 5-8 pm Monday at Hawkins Family Chapel.

Jovita was born to Ignacio Villegas and mother Micaela Campos on July 31, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Gregory Gonzales Sr. on January 4, 1963 in Abilene, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling. Jovita was the best example of a mother, grandmother and mother-in-law in many ways. Her family was her everything in every way from caring for them, cooking any chance she got for them and cherishing all the memories she made throughout her lifetime with them. Jovita was a very religious woman, she always spoke about the word of God, included God in her life and when she got the chance she shared his word with all she knew. Always thinking of others before herself. She will be forever in our hearts and missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gregory Gonzales Sr. and parents Ignacio Villegas and mother Micaela Campos.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children Patricia Gonzales, Gregory Gonzales Jr. and Raphael Gonzales; her daughter in laws Judy Gonzales and Nuvia Gonzales; her grandchildren Samantha Gonzales, Joel Villegas and Alexander Ray Gonzales; her six siblings Ignacio, Stanley, Delia, Theresa, Mary and Gloria; her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with numerous extended family members and a host friends.
