Josie Clark, 79 of Fort Worth, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend was called home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Josie was born on September 30, 1942, to Tony Ortiz Clark and Rafuel Ledesma in Austin, Texas. Besides dedicating her life to her family, she was a sewing machine operator and restaurant food preparer. Her family had a restaurant on the Northside of Fort Worth where she would help prepare food, which is where she gained the nickname “The Hot Sauce Lady” due to her amazing salsa. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and that’s what meant most to her in life. Josie had many hobbies and past times, such as dancing, playing bingo, and going to Winstar anytime she could, but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and her community friends. She had a kind heart, and all her community knew this for she was known for cooking to feed anyone who wanted to join. She will be missed by many families and friends whose lives she had blessed throughout her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Rafuel Clark, her brother Tony Ledesma Clark and sister Linda Clark Moreno.
Those left behind to honor and celebrate her memory are her daughter Rachel Clark of Fort Worth; her grandchildren Richard Nicholas Clark, Taryn “Coco” Nichole Ybarra, and Eric Christopher Ybarra.; her great-grandchildren Frances Simone Clark, Gabriella Nichole Clark, Isaac Giovanni Medellin, and Kai Ybarra; her sisters Bertha Martinez, Mary Sotelo and Rosie Esparza; Along with numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
