Joseph David Norcott Jr. 53

Joseph David Norcott Jr. 54, loving father, son, brother, and friend went to be with our Lord, his “Papa,” on August 5, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas.

David was born to Joseph David Norcott Sr. and Jacquelin Margaret Windle on December 18, 1967.
He was a man of strong faith, deep feeling, and tremendous compassion. David’s greatest passion was assisting people in any way he could. His kind, service centered heart led him to care for people by being a motivational speaker, patient advocate at Hanger amd UT Southwestern, personal trainer, fire fighter and EMS for stations #3 & #12, DC Fire Department and for Medstar of Fort Worth. He enjoyed his time and experiences with Encounter Church, the Dallas Amputee Network, Benbrook YMCA and other Regional YMCAs, White Settlement Senior Citizens Center and TCAN. When he wasn’t involved with his organizations he was enjoying his time growing his houseplants or involved with marathons. Throughout his life, David cultivated many lifelong friendships. One of his closest friends and companions was Kinsey, his loving service dog. To David, to be a friend was to have a friend for a lifetime! He was a fun-loving man, kind and caring who found the greatest joy spending time helping others.

He will be greatly missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents Joseph David Norcott Sr. and Jacqueline Margaret Norcott.
Those who are left to honor and celebrate his memory are his children Kyle Norcott and Meghan Marden of North Carolina ; His sister Holly Wirrick and husband Paul J Wirrick Jr of Pennsylvania; his nieces and nephews Antonio Micheal Toppi, Thomas Joseph Norcott, Cheyenne Marie Howard, and Shawn Patryck Howard. Along with extended family members, a host of friends and loved one from many walks of life, and numerous others whose lives he and Kinsey left an indelible mark on.
