Elvira Guerrero Garcia, 89, a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Elvira was born March 31, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas to Cruz Guerrero and Concepcion Escobedo. Elvira was a wonderful cook, she would have her cup of coffee and enjoyed making flour tortillas every morning, and for the rest of the day it was time for her Coke or her Big Red you couldn’t take it out of her hands. She was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life and loved spending time working in the garden. Thrift shopping was one of the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. Elvira loved to dance whether she was dancing with family or simply enjoying her favorite song, and her biggest passion was buying her santitos or asking to bring her one back from wherever we traveled! She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren they held a very special place in her heart. She had one of the biggest hearts and was always willing to give.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cruz Guerrero and Conception Escobedo, her Kids; Cruz Zapata, Raymond Zapata, Yolanda Zapata, Emma Quiroga, Grandchildren; Casey Guerrero, Bradley Zapata, Maria Ester Quiroga, Maria Zapata, Great grandchildren; Johnathan Sosa.
