Alfredo Perez Gomez

 Alfredo Perez Gomez, 78 of Fabens, Texas, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2024. 

Alfredo was born to Estevan Perez Carreon and Matilde Gomez Chavez on August 14, 1945, in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, Mexico. 

Alfredo enjoyed helping his community in Fabens. He used to drive children in a school bus to school and was known as “Mr.” by the children. Alfredo enjoyed hosting a “Reliquia” for the Virgen de Guadalupe in December. Alfredo enjoyed watching western movies and “Cantiflas”. He was a hardworking man who spent his days working on his ranch with the many animals he had, he was a true cowboy through and through. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estevan Perez Carreon and Matilde Gomez Chavez, children Carlos Perez and Noemi Salinas, siblings Arturo, Victor, Santiago and Amparo Perez, Esperanza Vega, and Elvia Morales. 

Those left to celebrate and honor his memory are Laura Salinas his partner for 28 years; children Mary Ann Hernandez, Viola Martinez, Eloy Perez, Alfredo Perez Jr., Silveria Perez, Lorena Morales and Miguel Salinas; siblings Jesus and Heriberto Perez and Elvia Martinez, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
